Reasons I Quit

A couple of my acquaintances have been smoking for a long time. It never fails, at some point throughout the week they will talk about how they desire to stop smoking. So, do I think they will follow through and actually quit? Not a chance.

Why, you may wonder. Well, I can tell you I've seen both of them make an attempt to quit many times. It never fails that they begin smoking once again and each time have some kind of justification for the reason they started.

I've been in the position find yourself in at the moment. I used to be a smoker also and was able to break my addiction. You can't tell me that you are not getting tired of reeking like a cigarette butt each day? Of having terrible breath? Of being so dependent on the nicotine you get from the cigarette?

You may not detect the stink of smoke on your body or how awful your breath smells, but I guarantee your acquaintances and family do. Smoking just isn't cool any longer, not to mention that it will sooner or later kill you.

There is way too much research out there to continue to be dumb enough to keep on smoking cigarettes. One more bad thing about cigarettes is that the cost keeps going up.

Each and every year our government keeps taxing them and the prices continue shooting up. In the next 10 years or so, I'm sure the price will be double what it is now. So not only will you have a hacking cough in the morning when you wake up, but you'll also be broke because you wasted all your cash on cigarettes.

The time is right now. Are you committed to quitting? If you are, then it's time to stop creating excuses for you not to quit. Everybody you know, from family to your coworkers will be ecstatic about your choice. Your heart and lungs will thank you as well. You are the only one holding yourself back.
